Carruggiu Casavacanze is a new holiday residence in the city of Caltagirone in the province of Catania. We have restored seven houses in the historical centre, just a few meters from the Maria del Monte steps, famous for their “illuminations” three times a year, creating small oases of tranquillity for your stay.
The individual apartments have retained the original local architecture using materials typical of Sicilian culture: beamed and cane ceilings, tiled kitchens and stone supporting arches, with a slight modern touch to make your stay comfortable.
The residency is located in the “carruggi”, narrow streets of the historic quarters of Caltagirone, and surrounded by the city’s main monuments and churches.
Other particulars are: views of the old city, panoramic balconies, air conditioning and kitchen area.
